Independent, inquisitive, insatiable – these are typical traits of students in the elementary grades of 3-5. Many believe it's in these years that a love of knowledge, an attitude of lifelong learning, is instilled.

At Indian Hill Elementary School, we focus on nurturing and encouraging these natural traits and creating an individualized learning experience to support whole child development. Students have the chance to explore concepts in more depth. Instructional practices supported by data meet the diverse needs of our learners, and our SEEDS program (Safe Environment for Educating Diverse Students) is incorporated into daily work.

When students leave Indian Hill Elementary after finishing fifth grade, they are on their way to becoming successful, respectful young people, ready to take on greater challenges, academically and personally.

Morning Announcements

Counselor Chats-Q3

Once a quarter students attend "Counselor Chats" during their regularly scheduled Technology time.  During the week of February 5th, each class will have a “Counselor Chat” to discuss the topics of personal safety and on line safety.  In an ideal world, children would never face a situation where they felt unsafe or uncomfortable in person or digitally.  For the safety lessons, students will be using age-appropriate materials, including videos and classroom discussion, to teach strategies children could use to keep themselves safe.

This is a great opportunity to let your children know safety discussions will occur at school and to assure them that you are there to discuss any concerns or questions they may have.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns as well.

Thank you!  Sarah Kellett, School Counselor 272-4714
